An elderly woman driving a pickup truck reportedly lost control of the vehicle and sent it plowing into a grocery store this afternoon, injuring 26 people.
Lt. Ken Romane said the woman crashed the truck into a store at Eastern and Sahara avenues just before 3 p.m.
Seventeen people who were hurt were treated at the scene for minor injuries, and an additional nine were rushed to area hospitals. Romane said none of the injuries was life-threatening.
Two of the hospitalized people were described as juveniles.
No other details were available Saturday afternoon.
