51s drop extra inning affair at Sacramento

The Las Vegas 51s lost in 10 innings today at Sacramento, surrendering a game-ending RBI double to Nick Buss in a 7-6 defeat.

Anthony Aliotti started the 10th inning rally for Sacramento with a one-out double, scoring the winning run on Buss’ ground-rule double to give Sacramento a 2-1 lead in the four-game series.

Sacramento nearly won in the ninth.

Allan Dykstra forced extra innings for the 51s in the top of the ninth with a solo home run to tie the game at six.

Matt den Dekker led the 51s with a double, triple and two RBIs, Wilmer Flores went 3 for 5 with two RBIS and Daniel Muno added three hits.

51s starter Logan Verrett didn’t make it out of the fourth inning, surrendering 11 hits and five runs.

The last game of the series is 5:05 p.m Sunday. The 51s return Monday to Cashman Field for a series against Salt Lake.
