Shooting
A man was killed Tuesday night while walking along Decatur Boulevard when someone driving a sports car shot him multiple times, Metro Police officials said.
Metro responded about 10:45 p.m. to reports of the shooting on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Decatur Boulevard, near Sunset Road. When officers arrived, the victim was dead, police said.
Investigation indicated that the victim was walking along Decatur when a person driving a red sports car pulled up next to him, police said. After a brief conversation, the driver got out of the car and shot the victim multiple times, police said.
The driver left before police arrived.
Metro homicide detectives were working to identify the suspect and determine the motive of the shooting.
