A loud popping noise alerted bystanders to a fire at an auto repair shop Sunday near the Strip that did $85,000 damage to the building and vehicles parked outside, officials said.

The Clark County Fire Department responded about 6 p.m. to reports of a fire at the “BMWs Only” shop at 5115 Dean Martin Drive, near Tropicana Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find flames spreading from the building to vehicles outside, Deputy Fire Chief Jon Klassen said.

Firefighters from Las Vegas Fire & Rescue were called to assist in extinguishing the fire, which was out by about 6:25 p.m., Klassen said.

No one was injured. The fire caused about $50,000 damage to the building and $35,000 damage to vehicles, Klassen said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
