Metro Police officials are investigating reports of a suspicious package found at the federal courthouse downtown.
Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said a caller notified the agency about the package at 1:19 p.m. A specialized unit has been sent to the courthouse, located at 333 Las Vegas Boulevard South near Clark Avenue and Sixth Street.
Security guards were allowing people into the building as normal about 2 p.m. while two Metro Police officers sat parked outside along an adjacent street.
No other information about the incident was available this afternoon.
