The Reno Aces opened with three straight scoring innings, which was enough to carry them to a 7-4 victory against the Las Vegas 51s today in the second of a four-game series at Cashman Field.
The Aces scored three runs in both the second and third innings. The 51s cut into the lead with two runs in the seventh and another in the bottom of the ninth, but it wasn’t enough.
Shortstop Omar Quintanilla and catcher Juan Centeno combined to go 4-for-8 with three RBI for the 51s.
The series continues at 7:05 p.m. Monday.
