Police release video of shooting at Las Vegas Strip mall

Metro Police have released surveillance video of a shooting earlier this month at the Fashion Show mall on the Las Vegas Strip as well as video of a vehicle of interest.

A suspect was seen getting into the passenger side of the black coupe, which is shown in the video, police said.

No suspects have been identified.

An investigation has led police to believe that the suspect might live in or frequent the southwest part of the valley and may be in the Blue Diamond Road area, police said.

The shooting at the mall happened about 6 p.m. July 15 after what witnesses said was a physical altercation between two groups of men.

One of the men fired a handgun, which struck another man involved in the fight, police said.

Both parties fled the scene. The victim took himself to MountainView Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound before being taken to the Sunrise Hospital, police said.

Police said some of those involved in the fight may have been affiliated with a gang, but the incident does not appear to be gang motivated.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Metro’s gang crimes bureau at 702-828-3309 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online at crimestoppersofnv.com.
