Arrest made in fatal shooting outside Las Vegas convenience store

A man authorities suspect may have been involved in the shooting death of a 23-year-old Las Vegas woman last week was arrested Wednesday in California, Metro Police said.

The man was taken into custody late last night in Modesto, Calif., and was being transported to Las Vegas, Metro Officer Laura Meltzer said. Few other details were immediately available.

The victim, Krystal McAdow, was shot once in the chest while in her car in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven at 2691 West Sahara Avenue on the evening of July 17.

She had been sitting in the car when a man got into the vehicle, police said. Another man drove up to the car while the couple were sitting inside and fired one shot through the windshield, striking McAdow, police said.

Both men fled the scene, police said.

McAdow was transported to University Medical Center, where she was declared dead.
