CARSON CITY — A Las Vegas killer, serving a life term without parole, has died in prison at the age of 73.
The Nevada Department of Corrections reports that Lawrence Schultz died Monday at the regional medical facility at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City after a lengthy illness.
He started serving his prison term in June 1978 after being convicted of first-degree murder.
