51s hit 2 home runs in third inning, still fall to Tacoma

Wilmer Flores went 2 for 4 with three RBIs today for the Las Vegas 51s in a 6-4 loss at Tacoma.

Flores, who earlier in the series had a 22-game hitting streak snapped, had a two-run home run in the third inning. Allan Dykstra followed with a solo home run to give Las Vegas a 3-1 lead.

However, Tacoma scored four runs in the fourth inning to take the lead for good.

Las Vegas (59-47) nearly rallied to win, loading the bases in ninth inning before Josh Satin flied out to right field to end the game.

The 51s and Tacoma conclude the series Thursday. Friday, Las Vegas returns to Cashman Field to face Salt Lake, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels.
