This fall, a city library will be open on Mondays in Henderson for the first time in two years, Henderson Libraries announced today.
In response to community demand, library officials adjusted the schedule so that Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway, could be open Mondays – something the Henderson Libraries district hasn't been able to do for two years due to lack of funding. Hours for two of the district's other libraries have been tweaked slightly to allow for the change.
The Henderson Libraries Board of Trustees approved the schedule changes on Thursday, and the new hours will take effect Sept. 8.
Here are the new hours:
Paseo Verde Library
Monday-Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Thursday-Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: Closed
