Panhandlers have gotten out of control. Seems like if you can find a piece of cardboard and a marker, you’re in business. I will donate to an older person who seems to really need anything anyone gives. But these younger ones on the corners, possibly a few of them are together drinking beer or smoking, need to go out and find a job.
I talked to one of these younger male panhandlers; he said that females drivers give the most to him. I guess it’s their maternal instinct coming into play.
Through the years we have spoiled them into making a living this easy way. Aside from a handicapped or seniors with obvious health problems, I think a boycott for a few days might get these others off the corners and out looking for a job.
