North Las Vegas Police released a video today of a suspect in an attempted robbery in hopes of generating new leads in the investigation.
At about 2:40 p.m. on Jan. 16, an attempted robbery outside the Cannery on East Craig Road, police said.
A white male with brown hair, described as between 17 and 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 155 pounds, was walking out of the casino when he grabbed the purse of a 79-year-old woman walking toward the entrance, police said.
The woman held on to the purse, and bystander came to her aid, police said. The suspect took off in a silver Volkswagen Jetta driven by an unidentified man.
The woman, who was injured in the incident, was taken to a hospital.
The driver of the car is described as a white or Hispanic, between 18 and 25 years old with short brown hair and a mustache.
