Leavitt student approached by suspicious man, parents warned

Incident

A Leavitt Middle School student was approached by a suspicious man while the boy walked to a bus stop this morning, school officials said in a letter sent to parents today.

The man reportedly approached the boy near Shady Timber Avenue and Buckskin Avenue and began asking the student questions about nearby schools. He then told the child to get inside his small white car, but the boy ran to the nearby bus stop instead.

Metro Police are investigating.
