A series of minor car crashes along Interstate 15 North has snarled traffic this afternoon between Sahara Avenue and U.S. 95.
Starting about 1:20 p.m., three separate crashes occurred within minutes of each other, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremie Elliott said.
A four-vehicle collision was blocking the right shoulder north of Sahara Avenue, a two-vehicle accident was blocking the right lane near the eastbound Charleston Avenue exit and another two-vehicle crash blocked the right lane before U.S. 95 North, Elliott said.
The crashes have slowed traffic to about 30 mph between Sahara Avenue and U.S. 95. All three wrecks were minor and were expected to be cleared in about 30 minutes, Elliott said.
