PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) — Closing statements and the start of jury deliberations are scheduled for Thursday in the trial of man charged in the death of former Pensacola newspaper reporter.

William Cormier III testified in his own murder trial on Wednesday, telling jurors that he did not kill Sean Dugas.

Cormier told jurors that he followed instructions from his twin brother, Christopher Cormier, when he moved items from Dugas' home in 2012 and sold Dugas' belongings. William Cormier III said he thought Dugas was alive and that he believed his twin was in contact with Dugas.

Christopher Cormier has pleaded no contest to charges of helping William Cormier III move Dugas' body, which was stuffed into a plastic bin, covered in concrete and buried in the backyard of the twins' fathers' home in Georgia.
