An 18-year-old Utah woman has pleaded guilty to a felony leaving the scene of an accident charge in a crash last summer that hurt eight pedestrians outside a storefront church in North Las Vegas.

Nyakueth Tear entered her plea Tuesday before Clark County District Judge James Bixler.

Tear could get probation or up to 15 years in prison at sentencing April 15.

Tear admitted driving away after hitting people late Aug. 8 outside Iglesia de Cristo on Losee Road.

A 54-year-old man was critically hurt and a pregnant woman was among seven others less seriously injured.

North Las Vegas Police said Tear stopped and then tried to drive away on the dark industrial street.

She was caught after crashing her car and running toward Interstate 15.
