Metro Police arrested a man Monday after he barricaded himself inside a residence for more than four hours.
Police began negotiating with the barricaded man about 6 p.m. at a home near Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Gilespie Street. The man, who was not identified, was believed to be armed, Metro spokesman Larry Hadfield said.
There were no hostages involved.
SWAT officers began arriving about 8:30 p.m. and arrested the man without incident at 10:15 p.m.
Gilespie was closed to traffic south of Silverado Ranch Boulevard to allow room for police vehicles and equipment.
