Accident closes El Capitan Way
A pool supplies truck and a taxi collided just after 8 a.m. today causing a chlorine spill in the western valley, according to Metro Police.
The accident occurred on El Capitan Way between Tropicana Avenue and Ausberg Lane, not far from the 215 Beltway.
The cab driver suffered minor injuries, according to Metro Police, and was transported to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.
El Capitan Way is closed between Tropicana and Ausberg while the Las Vegas Fire and Rescue hazardous materials team is cleaning up the chlorine spill. Traffic is delayed in the area.
