Coroner: Henderson man died of stab wounds

A Henderson man whose body was found after a house fire Tuesday night died of multiple stab and incised wounds in a homicide, the Clark County Coroner's Office said.

Walter Zhongcheng Wu, 20, also suffered asphyxiation before his body was found in a house in the 100 block of Holly Tree Court, in the Anthem Country Club area of Henderson, officials said.

The fire was reported about 10:30 p.m., and Wu was found unconscious in the house, Henderson spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said in a statement.

Wu was transported to St. Rose Dominican Hospital — Siena Campus, where he was pronounced, Richards said.

Nobody else was reported injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Richards said.

Police discovered Wu's 2015 Toyota 4Runner abandoned and undamaged at an apartment complex off of Boulder Highway north of East Flamingo Road, Richards said.
