An elderly couple whose bodies were found at a Summerlin house Wednesday appear to have died after a husband shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself, Metro Police said.

Police said they responded about 6 p.m. to a report of two people shot at the house in the 9100 block of Firebird Drive, near Cheyenne Avenue and Rampart Boulevard.

Police did not release any additional details about the shooting.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the couple as 84-year-old Clyde Earl Ray and 81-year-old Mary Carol Ray of Las Vegas.

Clyde Ray died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Coroner's Office. His death was ruled a suicide. Mary Ray also died of a gunshot wound to the head, and her death was ruled a homicide, the Coroner's Office reported.
