Two teens have been arrested in connection with the robbery and shooting death of a 22-year-old woman last month, and a third suspect is being sought, according to Metro Police.
Police said My-Son McNair and Daivion Moore, both 19, were arrested in connection with the slaying on Nov. 11 of Las Vegas resident Laura McKinney.
McKinney was walking with a friend about 10:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Simmons Street, near Lake Mead Boulevard, when three young people approached them and demanded their belongings, police said.
One of the suspects fired a round from a handgun, police said. McKinney was taken to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives arrested McNair on Nov. 22 on counts including murder, robbery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery, according to a Metro news release.
Police obtained a warrant to arrest Moore two days later and took him into custody Nov. 26, officials said. He was arrested on counts including murder, battery with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery, police said.
Detectives are seeking a third suspect, a black male between the ages of 17 and 20 who goes by the name “Man-Man,” police said.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Metro’s homicide section at 702-828-3521 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online at crimestoppersofnv.com.
