Jonathan Koppenhaver, also known as mixed martial arts fighter "War Machine," was extradited from California and booked this morning into Clark County Detention Center.

Police accused Koppenhaver, 32, of beating his ex-girlfriend and adult actress Christy Mack and her male friend at a Las Vegas home in late July before fleeing the state. Koppenhaver was arrested by U.S. marshals two weeks ago in Simi Valley, Calif. On Aug. 19, he told a California judge that he wouldn't contest his transfer back to Nevada.

Shortly after the incident, Mack, 23, announced on Twitter that she suffered a broken nose, broken leg, broken eye bones, a ruptured liver and was missing teeth. She said Koppenhaver made her strip naked and threatened her with a knife. Fearing for her life, she said she finally escaped when she ran naked out of the home while Koppenhaver was in another room.

The incident garnered wide attention on social media, especially Twitter.

Koppenhaver faces six felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, lewdness, coercion and multiple counts of battery. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
