Flash flood warning issued for Dolan Springs area

A flash flood warning has been issued for south-central Clark County, which includes the area of Dolan Springs and Chloride, until 3:45 p.m. as a thunderstorm moves northeast from the Cal-Nev-Ari area, according to the National Weather Service.

Earlier today, the storm dumped about 1.5 inches of rain in the Cal-Nev-Ari area, which had been under a severe thunderstorm warning until 1:45 p.m., the weather service said.

Residents in south-central Clark County will not see as much rain as those in the Cal-Nev-Ari area because the storm is moving and not sitting in one area, weather service meteorologist Justin Pullin said.

The storm is expected to bring gusty winds and intense rain, he said.
