A jury today awarded $2.4 million to a couple who sued the developers of an upscale condominium complex near the Las Vegas Strip.
Frank and Amelia Taddeo are among more than 200 condo owners who filed suit against Delaware-based American Invsco Corp. and Koval Flamingo LLC in 2012, which developed The Meridian at Koval Lane and Flamingo Road.
The couple, who purchased the property for $654,000 in 2006 as an investment opportunity, accused Invsco and Koval Flamingo of lying about the value of the home, stealing furniture and appliances from the Taddeos, and breaching the parties' purchase agreement after Invsco began renting out the property on the couple's behalf.
A jury today ordered both companies to pay the couple $2.4 million between the two of them.
