Ammar Harris, the suspect the Feb. 21 Las Vegas Strip shooting and car crash that killed three people, appears in court at the Regional Justice Center Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013.

A preliminary hearing is set Aug. 20 for three women accused of smuggling cellphones to a self-described pimp serving 16 years to life in Nevada state prison for rape and robbery and awaiting a death penalty trial in a Las Vegas Strip shooting and fiery crash that killed three.

Records showed that Olga Gonzalez and Re'ann Atkinson and Charmaine Simmons appeared in court Thursday on felony smuggling and misdemeanor conspiracy charges. Gonzalez and Atkinson also face felony bribery charges.

The women were arrested after officials say Ammar Harris was found with cellphones at High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs.

Harris' lawyer says Harris has since been moved to Ely State Prison.

Harris is scheduled for trial next month in the February 2013 shooting and crash case.
