Four errors hurt 51s in loss to Reno

The Las Vegas 51s dropped their third straight game today, committing four errors and surrendering three unearned runs in a 7-5 loss to visiting Reno.

Las Vegas (18-8) scored four unanswered runs to close the game, but it wasn’t enough to erase a 7-1 lead Reno built behind its five-run fifth inning.

Wilmer Flores led the 51s with two hits and two RBIs, while Eric Campbell went 2 for 4 with an RBI.

Rafael Montero, a key cog in the 51s solid pitching staff, struggled in his four innings. He gave up five runs (three earned) and walked four batters to take the loss.

The series against Reno continues at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday. The 51s' season-long, 12-game homestand ends Thursday.
