Plan ahead for these road projects in the coming week

Orange cones, signaling road construction or other impediments to smooth cruising, are situated throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Here’s a look at some of the roadwork or road closings you might encounter in the coming week:

CURRENT ROAD PROJECTS

Clark County

Flamingo Road between Maryland Parkway and Swenson Street has lane restrictions in the center of Flamingo Road impacting east - west travel for the construction of improvements for the Tropicana Wash. End date: June.

Lake Mead Boulevard lane restrictions while pipe is installed in Sloan Channel. Work will alternate between northbound and southbound lanes independently to allow access and is expected to take about two weeks. End date: Mid-May.

North Las Vegas

Ann Road and North Fifth Street will be closed during the weekend for paving. Drivers will be detoured to adjacent roadways: Commerce Street, Hammer Lane, Bruce Street and El Campo Grande Avenue.

Henderson

Galleria Drive project: McCormick Road will be closed at Mohawk Drive for repaving. End date: April 30.

ONGOING ROAD PROJECTS

Interstate 15

F Street Connection Phase 3 — Interstate 15 between Washington Avenue and U.S. 95: I-15 on-ramp at D Street is closed; southbound lanes on I-15 have been moved to the northbound side and limited to two lanes in both directions. End date: Summer 2014.

Clark County

Sahara Avenue Bridge over the Desert Rose Golf Course closed as part of the Las Vegas Wash and Flamingo Wash improvements. End date: September 2014.

Las Vegas

Bridge Construction — F Street: Road closure between Bonanza Road and D Street. End date: Aug. 1.

Intersection improvements on Casino Center Boulevard at California and Colorado avenues. Work is generally being conducted between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Projected end date: May 2.

Roadway improvements on Lake Mead Boulevard between Hills Center Drive and Rancho Drive. Work hours will generally be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A minimum of two lanes in each direction will be kept open during peak morning and afternoon hours. Between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., traffic may be restricted to one lane in each direction. Projected end date: Mid-July.

Charleston Boulevard between Buffalo and Durango Drives, street disruption, expect traffic delays. Projected end date: May 8.

Hillpointe Road at Hillsgate Drive, street disruption, expect traffic delays. Projected end date: May 8.

Lake Mead Boulevard at Springfield Street, street disruption, expect traffic delays. Projected end date: May 8.

Tenaya Way at Tropical Parkway, street disruption, expect traffic delays. Projected end date: May 8.

Torrey Pines Drive between Cheyenne and Buckskin avenues, street disruption, expect traffic delays. Projected end date: May 8.

Oakey Boulevard at Birch Street, street disruption, expect traffic delays. Projected end date: May 9.

Lake Mead Boulevard between Jones and Decatur boulevards, street disruption, expect traffic delays. Projected end date: June 8.

Main Street between Stewart and Carson avenues, street disruption, expect traffic delays. Projected end date: June 8.

Wyoming Avenue at Fairfield Avenue, street disruption, expect traffic delays. Projected end date: June 9.

Vegas Drive between Rancho Drive and Jones Boulevard, street disruption, expect traffic delays. Projected end date: Aug. 30.

North Las Vegas

Craig Road landscaping: One lane, typically the lane closest to the median, is being closed because the landscaping is happening on the median. Projected end date: Landscaping will continue for about a month, but lane closures will be intermittent.

Road capacity and drainage improvements: Allen Lane from Lone Mountain Road to Ann Road will have traffic delays while Allen Lane is built out to its full width, paving is done and storm drainage is added. One lane is being maintained in each direction. Projected end date: Allen is expected to be under construction for the next two weeks.

OTHER

Las Vegas

Sixth Street, Seventh Street, Fremont Street and Carson Avenue: Closed from midnight Friday until 11:30 p.m. Saturday for the Great Vegas Festival of Beer. Follow posted detour signs.
