A man was stabbed to death today outside a McDonald’s restaurant on Sahara Avenue near Rancho Drive.

Metro Police responded about 8:25 a.m. to the stabbing in the 2600 block of West Sahara Avenue. The victim was transported to University Medical Center, where he died, officer Larry Hadfield said.

Homicide detectives pinpointed a suspect after determining the victim had argued with a man prior to the stabbing, according to a Metro Police press release.

Officers arrested Asa Funderburk, 36, who was hiding out in a nearby residence, according to the release.

Funderburk was booked into Clark County Detention Center on one count of murder with a deadly weapon, according to the release.
