For the GOP to gain control of the Senate and hold the House, it must do the following:
Have a specific alternative to the Affordable Care Act or a specific plan to make it better. Just criticizing the ACA will be a failed strategy.
Avoid nominating candidates who are out of the mainstream and open to attacks because of extreme views. Extreme candidates are part of a losing strategy.
Stay away from social and faith issues. The country has moved left socially, whether Republicans like it or not.
Articulate a positive agenda with specific proposals. Do not claim all government is bad and tax cuts are the panacea for everything that is wrong.
Do I think the GOP will do these things? Nope.
