Enrollment for 2013-’14 in Clark County public schools has surpassed a record 314,000 students, district officials reported today.
The updated figure was included in a news release distributed this afternoon.
Since 2000, the School District has grown by about 83,000 students to become the nation's fifth-largest school system.
The official 2013-'14 enrollment figure will be released after "Count Day" on Sept. 20. That's when Nevada's 17 school districts report their student enrollment figures to the state education department.
State per-pupil funding aid is based on that official enrollment.
