Metro Police Gang Crimes detectives are investigating a weekend stabbing on the walkway between Excalibur and Luxor that may be gang related, and one person has been arrested in connection with the incident.

About 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Metro responded to the incident on the walkway in which two groups allegedly got into an argument that escalated into a fight. The groups began shoving and punching each other before two people were stabbed, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.

Toan Vo, 19, of California, was arrested on two counts each of battery with a deadly weapon and battery resulting in substantial bodily harm.

Both victims were transported to University Medical Center. One person suffered serious injuries while the other received nonlife-threatening injuries, Melzer said.

Prosecutors have not yet charged Vo, who remains in the Clark County Detention Center with bail listed at $60,000.
