It is ironic that Paul Krugman has managed through word manipulation to spin total lies in his Aug. 21 column, “Moment of Truthiness.” I’m surprised the Sun would print such manipulated falsehoods.
Krugman states the budget deficit had receded.
No, the budget deficit has not receded. It grows daily. The United States spends more each day than it takes in, but the excess of spending over income has receded somewhat and the excess is not growing at this time.
Why didn’t he say that? By the use or misuse of a few words, Krugman has lied to his readers. If the total sequester would have been allowed to kick in, the saving would not have been enough to balance the daily spending by far.
