The president in Afghanistan wants some American troops to stay in his country forever. He also wants more money from us to satisfy his tribal friends and also to keep religious factions happy as they blow each other up. He also needs our money to keep himself in the lifestyle of the rich and famous.

He gets his inspiration from the fact that we have had troops in South Korea for the past 60 years and counting.

I guess we do this to show those people how democracy works. May I make one suggestion? Instead of stars on our flag, why don’t we have lollipops? That’s more in line with being a sucker to all these dictators.

Over the decades we have spent billions on dictators and countries that hate us, not to mention the senseless wars.

With that money we could have had the best health care, infrastructure, a strong middle class, maybe a less-greedy 1 percent and free tuition for deserving students.
