Las Vegas is advising downtown motorists to pay extra attention next week when a pair of roads are converted into one-way streets.
Starting Oct. 24, the one-way portions of Bonneville Avenue and Clark Avenue will be extended from Las Vegas Boulevard to Maryland Parkway.
Both had previously only operated as one-way streets between Las Vegas Boulevard and 1st Street.
The newly configured Bonneville will run eastbound starting next week, while Clark Avenue will run westbound.
The change is part of a $4.6 million project that began in February meant to improve traffic flow. The project includes road reconstruction, sidewalk repairs, sewer drain installation and new traffic signals.
It was paid for using a combination of city room tax revenues and federal funding.
