Woman gets out of car after I-15 crash, is struck and killed

A Las Vegas woman who got out of her car today after a minor collision on northbound Interstate 15 was struck and killed by a passing vehicle.

Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the incident about 3:40 a.m. on northbound I-15 near Charleston Boulevard. A 22-year-old woman, identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Nascha Wallace, crashed her Toyota into a Nissan SUV along the median. When she stepped out of her car, a third vehicle lost control and struck her, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Hixson said.

Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
