Robbery suspect sought

Metro Police continue looking for a suspect in a late August armed robbery who met his victim through social media.

The alleged robbery happened at about 5 p.m. Aug. 29 near Flamingo Road and El Capitan Way in the western valley.

The suspect had met the victim online Aug. 27, and they agreed to meet two days later, police said. While the pair was walking, the suspect pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim’s head, demanding money, police said.

After the victim complied, the suspect fled on foot, police said. Authorities described him as a black male, about 25 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 150 pounds with short, black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro’s robbery section at 702-828-3591. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
