Rebels fans can start planning two years ahead for Thanksgiving in Hawaii. The EA Sports Maui Invitational today announced the field for the tournament in 2015, and it includes UNLV alongside national powers Kansas, UCLA and Indiana.

The eight-team field also includes St. John’s, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and Chaminade. Overall, the group includes four of the top-10 winningest programs in Division I history, and they have combined for 19 national championships, including UNLV’s banner for 1990.

Games will be played Nov. 23-25 in Maui at the Lahiana Civic Center. The Rebels last played in the Maui Invitational early in the 2000-01 season under coach Bill Bayno. UNLV went 1-2.

“The 2015 Tournament promises to be very special. Kansas, St. John's, UCLA and Indiana are four of the most storied programs in the history of college basketball. UNLV, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest are among the most successful programs in the past two decades," said tournament Chairman Dave Odom. "To have these teams join Chaminade in Maui will make for a spectacular week of basketball."

UNLV could end up playing Kansas in three consecutive seasons. The Rebels and Jayhawks already have a home-and-home series set up where UNLV travels to KU in 2014 and the teams meet at the Thomas & Mack Center in 2016.
