A 38-year-old man was killed this morning when the car he was driving overturned on State Route 170, just south of Bunkerville.
The single-car crash was reported at 6:14 a.m., Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said. The driver, whose name was not immediately released, was headed south when the car overturned, Hixson said.
The driver was ejected from the Toyota sedan and pronounced dead at the scene, Hixson said. Nobody else was in the car, he said.
The car’s plates and registration, as well as the driver’s license, were out of Minnesota, Hixson said.
The cause of the crash was not determined. “It’s still pretty early in the investigation,” Hixson said.
The crash closed the highway, also known as Riverside Road, for about 30 minutes.
