Two pedestrians killed outside crosswalks this week identified

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified two pedestrians who, in separate incidents, were fatally struck by cars while jaywalking this week.

Bella Pascual, 81, of Las Vegas died after being a hit by a white car around 6 p.m. Thursday in the northbound lanes of South Fort Apache Road near West Tompkins Avenue. The coroner confirmed her identity but has not released the official cause of death yet.

According to Metro Police, Pascual was not using a crosswalk at the time of the accident, and no charges were filed against the driver as of late Thursday.

On Wednesday, 60-year-old David Farr was hit by a Ford Explorer and killed near Charleston Boulevard and Durango Drive. He also was traveling outside a designated crosswalk, according to Metro Police.

Farr was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
