Traffic is backed up along a near-30-mile stretch of Interstate 15 because of tourists returning to California after the Memorial Day weekend, police said.
Cars are backed up from Sloan to about the state line in Primm, Trooper Loy Hixson said. A handful of extra patrols have been dispatched to areas of the interstate to ensure traffic safety, he said.
