One person was in critical condition after an accident on Interstate 15 near Blue Diamond Road early this morning.
A Frito-Lay truck hit a black Mercedes sedan from behind while traveling southbound on the freeway about 4:30 a.m., Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jermie Elliot said.
The accident was causing severe traffic delays, and motorists were advised to avoid the area during their morning commute, Elliot said.
Both of the drivers were transported to University Medical Center with injuries.
The driver of the Mercedes was in critical condition, while the injuries to the driver of the Frito-Lay truck were not considered life threatening, Elliot said.
