Las Vegas 51s infielders Wilmer Flores and Brandon Hicks each had two hits Thursday against the host Iowa Cubs, but the 51s were held scoreless in a 4-0 defeat to close an eight-game road trip.
Iowa scored twice in the first inning to grab the lead for good, taking three of four games from Las Vegas. Matt Fox (1-2) surrendered seven hits and two earned runs in five innings to suffer the loss.
The 51s return home to Cashman Field at 7 p.m. Friday to face Salt Lake.
