Metro Police are investigating the death of a man found early Friday in the parking lot of a northeast valley apartment complex.
At about 1 a.m., officers responded to a report of gunfire and someone on the ground in the parking lot in the 5200 block of Walnut Avenue, near Bonanza Road and Nellis Boulevard.
Officers discovered a 49-year-old man with at least one gunshot wound, Officer Bill Cassell said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Metro Police are investigating the shooting, and no suspect description was immediately available.
