A child riding in a stroller who was struck by a car Thursday appears to have escaped injury.
The child’s mother was pushing the stroller about 1:40 p.m. when the vehicle hit the stroller, throwing the child onto the ground, said Officer Laura Meltzer, a Metro Police spokeswoman.
The accident happened at Flamingo Road and Spencer Street.
Meltzer said the child and the mother were transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center as a precaution.
