Signal work tonight could back up traffic at Charleston and Las Vegas boulevards

Signal work scheduled

Work tonight could back up traffic at a key downtown intersection.

Traffic signals at East Charleston and Las Vegas boulevards will be out of service from 7 p.m. to midnight for signal maintenance.

City of Las Vegas officials advise motorists to avoid the intersection during those hours. While the traffic signals are out, the intersection will become a four-way stop. Officials said there could be significant traffic delays.

Officials urge motorists to use Bonanza Road and Sahara Avenue or Main Street and Maryland Parkway as alternate routes.
