Road closed
A portion of Sunset Road will be closed near McCarran International Airport starting Tuesday while Union Pacific Railroad replaces railroad tracks at the railroad crossing on Sunset Road.
Sunset Road will be closed between Bermuda and Pilot roads from 6:30 a.m. Tuesday until 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nevada Department of Transportation officials said.
Transportation Department officials suggest drivers use the Airport Connector, Gillespie Street and Bermuda and Pilot roads as detours instead while Sunset Road is closed. The project is part of Union Pacific Railroad’s track maintenance program.
