Family of five flees fire at mobile home

Two adults and three children fled their mobile home early Friday when it caught fire, according to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue officials.

Las Vegas and Clark County firefighters responded at 4:23 a.m. to 830 N. Lamb Blvd. in

the Millenium Estates mobile home park and found the double-wide mobile home in flames.

The family fled when the fire started and escaped injury.

Firefighters extinguished the fire quickly and confined it to the single home, fire officials said.

The fire started outside the home where trash cans are stored, but what ignited the fire is not yet known, officials said. The fire spread to the outside of the mobile home and into the attic, officials said.

Damage was estimated at $50,000. The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
