Police searching for suspect in robbery of elderly man

Metro Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing an elderly man as he was walking to his vehicle on the 4000 block of Boulder Highway last month.

The robbery occurred about 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 21. The suspect put his hand over the victim’s mouth to prevent him from screaming and then stole his wallet, police said.

The suspect is described as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 18 to 25 years old with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, white T-shirt and khaki pants, police said.

Police urge anyone with information regarding the incident to call Metro Police at (702) 828-3591, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or go online to crimestoppersofnv.com.
