A new escalator is running on the Las Vegas Strip at Harmon Avenue near the Miracle Mile Shops. It allows people to exit north onto the Strip, where they could previously only go south.

It’s now a little easier to get across the Strip with the opening of a new escalator at Harmon Avenue.
The $2 million project, owned and maintained by the Miracle Mile Shops, has been planned for more than a year and under construction since last fall. The escalator transports pedestrians from the foot bridge leading from the Cosmopolitan and City Center to Las Vegas Boulevard, where they can exit to the north by the Miracle Mile and Planet Hollywood. Before, visitors had only been able to exit to the south, creating congestion.
The escalator is so new there are still a few bugs. The up escalator hasn’t been working. Strong winds can actually stop an escalator. Officials at the shopping mall said that’s part of what has it stopping and starting, but they expect everything to be running smoothly in a few days.

Now if only another Bridge could be added crossing From Planet Hollywood to PARIS (their sister property) and not allow pedestrians to cross the constant swirl of traffic entering Paris and the Mall Parking Structures.
There really should be No Steet Level Crossings from Tropicana all the way to Sahara.
New bridges would look super over traffic rush.
Couldn't agree with you more, newnvrs, but businesses, like individuals and unlike government, must make financial choices or suffer the consequences. 2 million bucks is a lot of money, even these days when we see trillions being spent by the feds, 40% of which is borrowed. Try going 40% in the hole year after year as a business or an individual and see where that gets you.
